ABOUT ME
I wrote my first ever song when I was five. It went like this:
Lovely flower,
do you see me?
with my eyes so brightly shining
oh, do you see me?
Hey, we all come from somewhere. And with practice, I think I've gotten a bit better.
Singing, writing, and creating art are things I've done since I was a child. There were times when I stole my brother's laptop and drew in Microsoft Word, with nothing but a pen and highlighter. I started piano in elementary, and I started singing in choirs at about the same time.
Nowadays, as I move into my first full-time job, I strive endlessly to make sure I still give myself space to create. It's a hard balance to strike, as my fellow creatives know, but I still like to try.

That's me at the 2023 Tom Hope Media Scholar Program, speaking with key note speaker Rocio Ruiz!
